ባንኩ ጋዜጣዊ መግለጫ ሰጠ
የኢትዮጵያ ልማት ባንክ ባለፉት አምስት ዓመታት ያከናወናቸውን ዋና ዋና ሥራዎች፣ የብድር አሰጣጡን እና አሰራሩን እንዲሁም በባንኩ አሠራር ላይ በሚነሱ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ለሚዲያ አካላት መስከረም 18 ቀን 2011 ዓ.ም. በኢንተርኮንቲነንታል ሆቴል ጋዜጣዊ መግለጫ ሰጥቷል፡፡
DBE Hosting AADFI’s Workshop
President of the Bank, Ato Haileyesus Bekele in the welcoming speech expressed his gratitude to AADFI and its participants to choose Ethiopia hosting this valuable training which is established to meet the need for a continent-wide coordination and economic solidarity and to promote economic and social development in Africa throughout cooperation among banks and financial institutions.
The President said this workshop will be fruitful in building financial models and upscale proficiency of the participants on the use and application of financial model in project finance and other business transactions.
Representing AADFI’s Training and Research Manager, Mr. Cyril Okoye, on his part, appreciated the Bank’s efforts and cooperation the Workshop is being realized. He said this workshop is paramount in applying financial models to structure appropriate finance for the Bank’s projects and other businesses.
በባንኩ የሊዝ ፋይናንሲንግ አገልግሎት ተጠቃሚ የሆነው የልብስ ስፌት ፋብሪካ ተመርቆ ሥራ ጀመረ
በኢትዮጵያ ልማት ባንክ የሊዝ ፋይንንሲንግ አገልግሎት ተጠቃሚ የሆነው በኦሮሚያ ክልል፣ አርሲ ዞን አሰላ ከተማ የተቋቋመው ካኔኑስ ልብስ ስፌት ፋብሪካ የክልልና የዞን የሥራ ኃላፊዎች በተገኙበት መስከረም 12 ቀን 2011 ዓ.ም. በይፋ ተመርቆ ሥራ ጀመረ፡፡
ፕሮጀክቱ ከኢትዮጵያ ልማት ባንክ በሊዝ ፋይናንሲንግ አገልግሎት ለማሽነሪ ግዥ በተገኘ 5 ሚሊዮን ሁለት መቶ ሺህ ብር ብድር የተቋቋመ መሆኑ የፕሮጀክቱ ሥራ አስኪያጅና ባለቤት አቶ አድማሱ ድሪባ ተናግረዋል፡፡
ፕሮጀክቱ በአሁኑ ስዓት 152 ለሚሆኑ የአካባቢው ወጣቶች የሥራ ዕድል የፈጠረ ሲሆን በሙሉ አቅሙ ሥራ ሲጀምር 315 ለሚሆኑ ሰዎች የሥራ ዕድል እንደሚፈጥር አቶ አድማሱ አክለው ገልጸዋል፡፡
በተጨማሪም አቶ አድማሱ በምረቃ ሥነ ሥርዓቱ ላይ እንደተናገሩት ድርጅቱ ለወደፊቱ ሰፊ ራዕይ ሰንቆ እየተንቀሳቀሰ በመሆኑ በጥራትና በብዛት ምርቱን ለውጭ ገበያ ለማቅረብ ይሰራል፡፡
በኦሮሚያ ክልል ጥቃቅንና አነስተኛ ኤጀንሲ ምክትል የቢሮ ኃላፊ አቶ ግርማ በበኩላቸው መንግስት ኢንዱስትሪውን ለመደገፍ ከፍተኛ ትኩረት ሰጥቶ እየሰራ መሆኑን ገልጸው በቀጣይነትም ኢንዱስትሪውን ለመደገፍ ከተለያዩ ባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር በቅንጅት ለመሥራት ጥረት ያደርጋል ብለዋል፡፡
ለምረቃ የበቃው የልብስ ስፌት ፋብሪካ ለሥራ አጥ ወጣቶች የሥራ ዕድል በመፍጠሩ ያላቸውን አድናቆት በመግለጽ ለመሸጫ ቦታና ለተለያዩ አገልግሎት የሚውሉ ቦታዎችን በማቅረብ ከዞኑ የሥራ ኃላፊዎች ጋር በቅንጅት እንደሚሰሩ ቃል ገብተዋል፡፡
የሥራ ዕድል የተፈጠረላቸው ወጣቶችም በበኩላቸው በሰለጠኑበት የሙያ ዘርፍ ሥራ በማግኘታቸው ትልቅ ደስታ እንደተሰማቸው ተናግረዋል፡፡
DBE Undertakes Annual Management Meeting
Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) undertaken the annual management members meeting August 03 and 04 of 2018 at the Elilly International Hotel in Addis Ababa.
The 2017/18 Annual Performance Report of the Bank, and 2018/19 Annual Plan and Budget of the Bank was presented and evaluated by management members of the Bank in the two days meeting.
President of the Bank, Ato Haileyesus Bekele at his opening speech said that the Bank is on the processes of transformation and the current Ethiopian political and economic environments have been changing and demands of the public for quality service delivery and corporate good governance have been increasing from time to time. In this regard, despite many challenges, the Bank tried its utmost efforts to meet the public demand by improving its service delivery and instilling corporate governance.
Subsequent to the President’s opening speech, the 2017/18 budget year report was presented by Strategy, Change and Communication Directorate and Vice Presidents and profoundly discussed over by management members of the Bank. The report revealed performance of the Bank, problems encountered during the year, corrective measures employed, strengths and weaknesses observed, evaluation and monitoring processes and overall the Bank’s loan provision performances were reviewed.
As a result, the Bank’s annual performance registers satisfactory by approving birr 13.12 billion, disbursing birr 7.08 billion and collecting birr 4.84 billion from project and lease financing services.
The Bank also sold Great Renaissance Dam Bond to birr 1.03 billion (222%) during the year, according to the report.
The Bank also earned net profit of birr 367 million during the year under review.
In 2018/19 budget year the Bank plans to approve birr 12.7 billion, disburse birr 7.8 billion, collect birr 6.9 billion in project and lease financing services.
Following the presentation of the report and plan, issues with respect to prudent lending, reducing NPLs, maximizing Great Renaissance Dam Bond sale especially in districts, transparent system for promotion and transfer of employees and over all attitudinal change across employees and management members are deeply discussed.
After the discussion, the President underscored that employees of the Bank working in different levels should work hard to meet the Bank’s annual plan by doing utmost effort and the public demand by improving its service delivery as well as instilling corporate governance. He also finally underlined the importance of changing the current image of the Bank and reversing the Bank’s current financial status.
