EBS Payroll Module is Ready for Business Use
The Bank ERP Project Management Office (PMO) has announced it has published Payroll Module and made ready for business use. Accordingly, HRM Directorate in collaboration with the PMO and the implementer company will process employees’ payroll through this module as of March 2019.
Payroll Module is one of the modules in HRM track in Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) where the other modules in the Bank’s ERP Project implementation scope viz: CoreHR and Self-Service have been already put in production or are in use.
It is a standard in Oracle ERP System in particular in EBS that all modules to work in an integrated fashion as such the payroll module is fully integrated with the above mentioned HRM modules as well as Finance Modules and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules for ease of tracking employees’ related data be it Bio, Job Position, Asset at hand, Salary, etc.
EBS payroll module is also interfaced with the Bank’s Core Banking System to transfer Employees’ net pay through an out-bound interface and loans & other deductions from the Core Banking System to the EBS system through an in-bound interface.
Finally, all employees’ payroll data are seamlessly posted to the Bank’s master GL i.e. EBS GL. The payroll module is going to be rolled-out in phase to branches however currently implemented in HO and East, West, North and South Addis Branches.
In compliance with Project Management Standard, Key Users from HRM Directorate and PMO have tested all the implemented functionalities of the payroll module and proofed that it meets the Bank’s requirements for the module. Besides, the Bank’s IT Steering Committee has endorsed the UAT completion report of payroll module by the PMO.
It is to be known that the HRM Directorate generates different kinds of reports related to payroll where pay slip is one of it, and the Consumer Loan Management Team of HRM Directorate prints this report and distribute for HO employees through their respective directorates.
However, the PMO has implemented this pay slip as part of the EBS Payroll module that is accessible through the HRM Self-Service module. Therefore, the PMO is planning to give an overview workshop on Self-Service Module just cluster wise starting from employees in VP Corporate Service. It is based on this premises that the GO-LIVE of the Payroll module is a turning point for making use of Self-Service Module with added features.
